JAKARTA, KOMPAS.com - Flag carrier PT Garuda Indonesia plans to lease nine Boeing B737-800NG commercial airplanes and three Airbus A330-300s this year, chief executive told Dow Jones Newswires Friday.
“By 2015, we will have 153 airplanes with an average age of 4.4 years,“ Garuda Chief Executive Officer Emirsyah Satar said.
He said Garuda signed an agreement with Standard Chartered Bank to secure a 10-year leasing agreement. Garuda is in the process of offering 6.34 billion shares to the public. It will list its shares on Feb. 11.
