House Approves Timur as Police Chief

JAKARTA, KOMPAS.com - Commission III of the House of Representatives has agreed that the candidate of Indonesian Chief of Police Commissioner General Timur become Police Chief replacing General Bambang Hendarso Danuri who was about to retire at the end of this month. The approval with a number of notes was given by factions of the House commission at its meeting in Jakarta Thursday night.       The meeting chaired by head of the House Commission III was the final stage of the fit and proper test on the candidate of Police Chief Commissioner General Timur Pradopo on Thursday from 11 am. Besides giving their approval, many factions have also made notes which basically asked the new Police Chief to carry out his tasks most properly and wisely.

On the occasion Timur Pradopo thanked the House Commission  for the fit and proper test on him since the morning hours. Timur Pradopo said he will also consider the notes given by all the factions.
