JAKARTA, KOMPAS.com — Former National Police Chief Detective, Comr. Gen. Susno Duadji, has confirmed, Sunday, by phone, that he will fulfill the National Police Chief's second summons for him to report to headquarters today. He was absent for the first summons.
"I'll be at the National Police Headquarters (Monday) for sure. I don't want to be called irresponsible," he stated from Palembang. The invitation for the former West Java police chief to report to HQ was extended by the National Police spokesman Insp. Gen. Edward Aritonang via press conference, Friday. Susno has been called in to report regarding his statement to the judicial mafia task force.
But Susno is sure that his summons for today won't be regarding the case brokering issue, but instead he stated, "This is to probe me for professional violations."
Some time ago, Susno had mentioned that his reporting the case brokering issue is actually a golden opportunity for the second phase of the National Police reform toward a professionl police institution.
"Go ahead and survey the people. If the National Polcie chief is firm on disobedient generals, then the image of a professional police force that prioritizes the law will be established." (HIN/C17-09)
