JAKARTA, KOMPAS.com — Secretary General of PDI-P Pramono Anung denies, Friday, that a meeting is scheduled between PDI-P chairperson Megawati Soekarnoputri with two special presidential staff of the President Susilo Bambang Yudhoyono. The two staff members are Andi Arief for natural disaster and social relief, and Velix Wanggai for regional development and autonomy.
Pramono's short and straight answer on Friday via SMS is, "It's not true."
Pramono Anung's confirmation is to respond to the statement from the assistant to the special presidential staff, Akuat Supriyanto. The assistant stated, Jakarta, Thursday, that the plan was to clarify to Megawati Soekarnoputri regarding the various cases of suspected crimes by certain perpetrators on the blank L/C in Century Bank.
A deputy secretary general of the PDI-P central board, Agnita Singedikane, also stated that the meeting was not certain to take place.
"And there can't be a meeting. Mrs. Mega is firm on her view. The Century Bank case must be resolved by the law. The ones responsible must also be processsed in accordance with the law." (Rachmat Hidayat/C17-09)
